Welcome! I’m Michelle, owner of Bourbon + Lace. My 15-year career as a hair stylist has been fueled by one simple belief: everyone should feel strong and beautiful. This mindset frames everything I do, from how I raise my daughter to how I serve my clients. Life is made up of moments, and I am proud to be a part of so many meaningful ones.

My specialty is traveling to weddings. I’m a wanderer at heart, so I love packing up my gear and hitting the road to join you and your nearest and dearest. I love setting up my station and watching the bride and her crew get ready for the big day; hearing cousins tell childhood stories, listening to friends share memories from the past, watching the mimosa-fueled dance moves, and hearing all the oohs and aahs and the non-stop laughter. You simply cannot recreate that intimate experience in a salon, which is why on-location wedding hair is so important to me.

When I’m not on the road (because there aren’t many Tuesday weddings!) I am helping my clients feel strong and beautiful from behind my chair. I opened the doors to my very own salon in 2018, where I have created a welcoming atmosphere that encourages you to take a breather from the daily chaos. We all know that a trip to salon is about more than just refreshing your style. It’s about taking a moment to refresh your attitude. It’s about the conversation and the connection. It’s about everything in between the consultation and the final cut. I thrive on the “in between.”
